Tired of the pun-laced Kelis/”Milkshake”/Divorce lines? Well, too bad.  The newly single (almost to be at least), 7-month pregnant ex of Nas hit an unnamed beach and caught some pictures with some fans.  She truly looks in some damn good spirits considering.

“The final straw went down last Friday when they had a disagreement, and they haven’t seen each other since to my knowledge.” Wilson continues to on saying Nas cheated on Kelis. “She had found a certain young lady’s photos and inappropriate text, correspondence between a certain young lady on the side … I don’t believe it’s a famous woman. I believe it’s a black chick from Virginia who may be a promoter of some sort, but definitely not a famous chick..”
Nas was also verbally abusive. “The biggest issue I heard is a lot of him just talking to her crazy…besides physically abusive they can be verbally abusive…A lot of the drama I’m hearing had to do with that aspect too.”

Even though she’s only weeks away from delivering his first son, Nas has replied to Kelis‘ divorce petitions, requesting that he not be governed to pay spousal support.  Interesting.  Part of me can understand this logic, the R&B singer is a wage-earning supporter in her own right, but does childbirth sidelining her career (at least temporarily) justify her soon-to-be ex to support her still?

Something tells me her “irreconcilable differences” citing may be amended to show the Queensbridge rap legend’s cheating ways very soon, likely turning the tables a little more.

Am I lame for hoping for a reunion between Kelis and her ex Pharrell Williams - for good music purposes alone?

In some pretty surprising news tonight, Vibe has confirmed from a spokesperson from Kelis‘ management staff, that the R&B singer has indeed petitioned for the filing of divorce from husband Nas after 6 years of marriage!  The cited reason? Irreconcilable differences.

The two seemed to be the consumate high-profile couple of hip-hop (that is, until one Beyonce came along and married top dog Jay-Z), and they’re currently expecting their first child together, a son.  Kelis is 7 months pregnant.

It was only last February when Nas spoke excitedly to MTV about the prospect of having a baby with Kelis. “Yeah, man, I find out what it’s gonna be next week, so I’m happy,” said the multiplatinum rapper, who also has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Nas and Kelis first met in 2002 at a MTV Video Music Awards afterparty thrown by hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. “I wasn’t going to go, but I’m glad I did,” Nas told VIBE in June 2003. “Then at the afterparty, I met my girl.” Kelis remembered the meeting with her future husband vividly: “Everyone moves out of the way, and Nas stands up, and I put my hand out, and I’m like, Hey, I’m Kelis. And he goes, ‘Who?’… So I’m crawling into a fucking hole, and he’s like, ‘Wait-huh? What’s your name? And I’m like, Kelis, and he’s like, ‘Oh, well that’s great, because I’ve been waiting to make you my wife all these years.’” When Nas told her of his bold marital plans, she replied in typical Kelis form. “That’s great, because that’s all I wanna be.”
After dating for two years, the pair married in a small ceremony in Atlanta on July 28, 2003. Their relationship even sparked artistic collaborations, with Nas appearing on Kelis’ sensual single “In Public,” featured on her 2003 release Tasty (Star Trak/Arista). Kelis returned the favor on the Queensbridge, N.Y., MC’s controversial 2006 work Hip Hop Is Dead (Def Jam) on “Not Going Back.” Yet, since March of 2008, rumors of the couple separating have been circulating on the Web. Nas’ spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

Nas is expecting his second child, this time with wife Kelis.

Let’s hope they’re a little more selective about naming projects when it comes time to picking out a name for the newest Jones family addition than the last time around.

Browsing through some of the hot traffic sites this morning, I noticed some shenanigans about a Kelis sex tape.  Clicking on it, voluntarily offending my corneas, I saw a still shot of the same cock-on-mouth face that was said to be Top Model Eva Pigford just a year ago.

Apparently the porn star who it was proven to be can easily double as any lighter-skinned female in the industry these days.  Yuck.  As if my cold from hell wasn’t bad enough??
